World of Threads exhibition

Recently, I attended the World of Threads exhibition in Oakville, Ontario. This was a fibre arts exhibition showcasing the works of 115 artists from 16 countries. There were an astounding 426 pieces on display. My friend and I visited one sunny day and spent over 2 hours admiring the various works. Some really inspiring art!

I took many photos, some of which are included in this post.

While there were many fibre art pieces that were wonderful, these are the ones that were my favourites.

World of Threads exhibition is a non-profit initiative. It was curated by Gareth Bate and Dawne Rudman. More than 3500 images were submitted by hundreds of artists.

Installation by Bonnie Smith, “Pacific Ocean”

Installation by Ixchel Suarez, “Laurentian Forest”

This exhibition runs from October 10/23-January 14/24
