Cotton samples were dyed with Turkey Red Oil method using Madder powdered dye from Maiwa, in Vancouver. This is a long drawn out process that produces incredible pure Reds!

The samples were over dyed with various mordants including iron and copper, in different strengths. One sample was stencil printed with a mordant paste. Later all first cotton samples were pleated. The 3-dimensional effect with shadows is very impressive!
