“Social Butterfly” is an abstract Lotus collage measuring 30cm x 46cm, mounted on foam core, unframed. This collage is one of 7, that I created during a trip to Chiang Mai, Thailand, where I was visiting friends.
The techniques I used are Acrylic airbrush, coloured pencil and lead pencil. The listed price is for unframed work. If interested in having this unique art piece being framed, please contact me for framing options and prices.
I have integrated airbrush, pencil and coloured pencil drawing techniques. In all of my collages, I cut out some of my previously airbrushed Lotuses. And I also add pencil and coloured pencil drawing. Each collage is an original piece of art.
In each piece, I cut out Lotuses and added pencil and coloured pencil drawing. The lotus flower represents an awakening, spiritual growth, and enlightenment. On recent visits to Hawai’i, Thailand and more recently India, I worked on a series of Lotus collages. While in Hawai’i, I finished 4 collages and 7 during a later trip to Thailand (2015). In India, I created 5 collages. Prior to my trips, I painted more than 100 Lotuses.
