This one-of-a-kind Photofibre artwork entitled Emergent Veil blends photography, painting, and textile design into a single, tactile composition. Digitally printed on hand-made paper , this piece feels like a study in lightness and quiet rhythm.
Emergent Veil features one of my pleated fabrics with an overlay of a tiny leaves from a water plant. In the middle is a largish dark grey square showing transparent pleats and in the middle is one of my mordant prints of flowers on fabric. This combination of geometry and organic life, the pleats, square form, and delicate flowers, gives this piece a contemplative, almost architectural elegance.
The result is a richly textured piece that bridges natural process and digital expression.
